Sweetheart Ball:
The Sweetheart Ball, an elegant evening of dinner and dancing, will be held on
Friday, February 15, 2008 from 7pm—12am at the Folsom Community Center. This
exclusive event will feature gourmet cuisine, silent and live auctions and live
entertainment from the highly acclaimed Hip Service (recipients of the 2006
Stammy Award for “Best Dance Band”).
This unique event, dedicated to supporting services for families and youth in the local area, is a night for sweethearts and is a
time when “sweet” hearts can give back to their community. The Sweetheart Ball is a joint effort of the Folsom Cordova Community Partnership
(the Partnership) and the Folsom Cordova Unified School District (FCUSD).
Proceeds from the event will support the development of the Helping Hand Fund which
addresses unmet needs of FCUSD students and families in the Folsom and Rancho Cordova communities. Additional funds will enhance existing services of the
Partnership which include the Birth and Beyond program, the Cordova Community Collaborative, the Roots and Horizons Program (mentoring children of prisoners),
the Sierra Health Foundation REACH Initiative, and the AmeriCorps Youth Development Project.
